about

Timothy Hay is the grass farmers grow for cattle feed. It ain't pretty. It ain't the stuff they plant out on the White House lawn. It grows fast and it's hearty. Timothy Hay feeds the cattle and especially the horses. It is harsh and coarse. Timothy Hay gets the job done. So it seemed like the perfect name for this collection of tunes.... maybe not my "A Game" set of tunes but these are the songs that just wouldn't go away. They weren't exactly right for my bands (Dipsomaniacs/The Successful Failures) but I think they have something special. Hell, all I can really say is I keep singing them in my head while driving around town. They were recorded quickly without much thought. Mixing - even less thought (sorry!). Honest and lackluster. Timothy Hay.

Track Name: Earth-like Planets
I can never find a pen when I need it
I'm always coming in when you're leaving
And the day has just begun when
The sun is falling into the heavens above and

Earthlike Planets have been found
So the scientists have said
Still I can't find a pen

I never know the right way to say it
I only know to fight and delay it
Or like a fool I'm rushing in, I'm in
Trouble again, I'm in trouble again

Earthlike Planets have been found
So the scientists have said
Still I can't find a pen

I felt this way before
had my foot stuck in the door
I know the sinking feeling well
In fact I'm bored
And there's a pen right on the floor
