Homeland’s hometown holiday returns on June 26-29 with a new carnival and an extra day

The annual holiday of Hartland’s hometown comes to Nixon Park June 26-29, and New this year the holiday begins a day earlier and includes a full carnival.

In previous years, it was a three -day event that offered fireworks, live music, food, beer tent and parade. This year it continues from Thursday, June 26, until Sunday, June 29.

The holiday will still include all former activities, but the village has decided to make an effort to make it more comfortable for the family and expand the event as a whole.

The festival is also the beginning of the celebrations on July 4 in the area, said a recreation director for the village of Hartland, Sam Blonnine.

“She unites everyone,” Blonnine said. “It’s a kick until July 4, but it’s also a Hartland holiday. It’s crucial to be able to secure this and just have a good time.”

The village of Hartland brings Wenzel Ameryments, a Wisconsin -based carnival service, to put a carnival on the holiday of the hometown.

Classic carnival games, food and rides will be available by Wenzel Ameryments, according to Blonien.

The village of Hartland added the carnival to this year’s celebration to make the event more comfortable for the family and to provide a larger set of activities for children, said Blonnine.

What food and drink options will be available on the Homeland 2025 hometown holiday?

Participants can expect burgers, cousins, hot dogs, walking taco, sandwiches with fish, corn, pies, brownies and more.

The carnival will also offer classic carnival food, according to Blonien.

Beer and hard village will be sold in the beer tent.

Community organizations come to provide food, including Knights of Columbus, Kivan from Grand Hartland, St. Charles Catholic Church and Hartland Women’s Club.

The Homeland’s Hometland Celebration Parade will start at the corner of Hartbrook Drive and Merton Avenue, continue south to the eastern Capitol Div, turn west to the Eastern Capitoli Drive, turn north on North Avenue and end the south of the Highway 16.

The parade will include over 80 floats and acts, according to Blonien.
